Description

I completely forgot to upload pictures of this thing when I first made in in June
this was my first ever attempt to make anything out of foam, and so it has some flaws. It's lopsided in some areas, and the front, back and top are roughly cut- mostly because I made the amazing choice of mutilitating the foam with a box cutter before I found out that scissors worked better. I don't have anything better for hacking apart a fitness mat around here.
The front parts don't stay down close to the face, and it's really blocky at the top because I don't have a heat gun. Instead I sat on the floor for several hours with a really old hairdryer pressed up against the foam pieces. They reverted back to being flat once I brought them outside in the summer heat to apply the adhesives- which sucked because of how crappily cut out the pieces were. So I broke out masking tape, duct tape, and hot glue to hold the ENTIRE thing together.
I also couldn't find any tinted plastic stuff for the visor in the stores nearby and I had no time to order some online before the Con, so I was stuck with wearing a pair of sunglasses that the lens popped off when I was walking about.

But hey, it should glow in the dark because of the paint I used on the purple areas.
ans when I wore it with the rest of my partial cosplay to Comicpalooza, a girl saw me and knew who I was supposed to be and gave me a hug. That really made my day. ^^
